What: The Truth School brings Dr. Beverly Tatum back to Northampton as the featured speaker for this free event. Dr. Tatum is President Emerita, Spelman College, Atlanta, GA and author of the bestselling book Why Are All the Black Kids Sitting Together in the Cafeteria? And Other Conversations About Race. 

Dr. Tatum will be joined by panelists Mehlaqa Samdani, Executive Director of Critical Connections;  Rose Sackey-Milligan, Former Senior Program Officer Mass Foundation for the Humanities and Contemplative Educator for Social Action; Natalia Munoz, Multimedia Journalist and Communications Consultant; and Lindsey Peterson, Organizer, Queer Faith and anti-racism educator, singer, songwriter and activist. Rev. Andrea Ayvazian, founder of The Truth School, will moderate this far-reaching conversation.

 This event held from 7 to 8:30 PM will be held at the Northampton Center for the Arts, 33 Hawley St, which is wheelchair accessible. Copies of Dr. Tatum’s book will be available for purchase.
